Job Description:

As the Head of Legal for Retail Banking candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the adherence to legal frameworks specific to Retail Businesses, driving efficient operations, and providing strategic legal guidance.

Responsibilities:

1.Oversee the implementation and compliance of legal frameworks pertinent to Retail Businesses.

2.Stay updated with legal regulations and industry trends to ensure the Retail division's practices remain compliant.

3.Proactively identify potential legal issues that may arise within Retail operations.

Lead efforts to effectively resolve legal challenges, minimizing potential risks to the bank.

4.Provide expert legal advice and approvals pertaining to property matters within the Retail division. Ensure that property-related transactions are legally sound and compliant. Identify and establish relationships with an appropriate number of reputable legal law firms.

Manage the empanelment process.

5.Offer strategic legal guidance to the Retail division, aligning business practices with legal requirements. Participate in negotiations, contract reviews, and drafting.
