Head - Legal - LLB/LLM - FMCG/Telecom/Banking/Media

Looking for a Head - Legal for a Large MNC, based at Bangalore.

Required - LLB / LLM with 12 - 15 years of work experience in the areas of Commercial Transactions, Legal Advisory, Litigation, Compliances and Regulatory with both Agency + In House in a Large MNC FMCG/Telecom/Banking/Media etc. will be considered as the perfect fit.

Commercial Transactions :

- Knowledge in structuring, drafting, negotiating and closing high value complex commercial transactions

- Developing and implementing a Contract Management system and contract audit & compliance processes

- Leading all litigations w.r.t. the technical, corporate and commercial legal issues in conjunction with Strategic Counsel & General Counsel

Legal Advisory work :

- Exercise sound judgement on all legal issues combined with solution oriented approach to problem solving in relation to contractual & commercial disputes & litigations, IPR specific issues, corporate law, contract law, property law, Information technology / IPR laws, anti-trust law, anti siphoning laws, foreign exchange, banking issues etc.

Litigation:

Work with Strategic Counsel & General Counsel to identify key strategic & tactical objectives for the South business that can be solved through calibrated & measured offensive or defensive litigations.

Compliance :

- Work with Chief Compliance Officer to ensure that the South business are de-risked from statutory, regulatory, contractual compliance risks

- Ensure adherence to corporate governance policies throughout the South business & effective implementation through an established process of periodic compliance review, audit & monitoring

Regulatory work :

- To ensure that the regulatory levers are used appropriately to unlock value and to plug revenue leakage

- Work closely with Strategy Counsel & Government Relations Team on researching and analyzing various national & state policies, legislative amendments, bills, consultation papers, notifications, court related judicial pronouncements on contracts, commerce, IPR and competition law matters and in general anything that impacts the business either positively or negatively
