Legal Head

1. Manage & supervise all Legal and Compliance affairs across the group

2. Provide legal advice and counsel to the Board of Directors, Managers, employees of the organization, and external counsel advise to the Senior management on all legal matters affecting the organization's operations and governance, including legal review and advice on risks and implications of new projects, and with business arrangements to support strategic and operational decision-making

3. Briefing and discussion with external advocates handling various matters for discussions on various issues/procuring additional documents and providing the documents & clarifications etc.

4. Reviewing of all types of contracts forming part of company's business operations and allied activities in coordination with the respective department and external agencies/ consultants effectively so as to ensure minimal risk exposure, prevent business and operational hazards.

5. Ensure effective litigation management and follow-up on the same through appointed advocates and court hearings.

6. Providing required papers and briefs to the external counsels in all litigation matters and scheduling the meetings, discussion with counsels on the subject, perusing the drafts of various petitions/ applications/ objections/ affidavits/ statements etc.

7. Should have good exposure in handling NCLT, NCLAT cases, Civil matters, Legal Metrology, Cheque Bounce, Contract Management, Labour disputes, Compliances, vetting agreements/ deeds etc.

8. Handling external Attorneys for Intellectual Property Matters, registration of Trademarks, Copyrights and Patents

9. Representing/ Appearing before the Arbitrators and various High Courts (along with Sr. Advocates and local counsels).

10. Appearance before various courts and tribunals in co-ordination with law firms and external counsels i.e., before Appellate, District Courts, High Courts and Supreme Court etc.

11. Extensive coordination with internal and external stakeholders including advocates, Sr. Advocates, law firms, government agencies, in strategizing and responding to legal notices, draft pleading, petitions, appeals and others.

12. All other legal support as may be required by the Company from time to time.
