Designation- VP- Legal & Compliance (Head of Legal internally)

Organization- A leading IT services organization

Location- Bangalore

Education- LLB and CS (both mandatory)

(LLB should have been completed by year 2000 or prior to that)

Reporting to- CFO

No. of reportees- 6-7 (including Director, Sr. Manager and Associate Managers)

Candidates only from IT industry

- Global exposure is a must

- Contract and Regulatory experience mandatory

Litigation experience is good to have

Responsibilities :

- Ensure protection from its risks, including legal, regulatory & reputational risks, while at the same time facilitating business objectives and to provide an atmosphere of compliance awareness.

- Ensure that adequate support is provided to all the off-shored activities in India, in terms of identification of legal and compliance risks associated with off shoring and developing strategies and processes to mitigate the risks in accordance with the Group Directives & Guidelines by coordinating with appropriate internal Counsels of SG entities worldwide.

- Monitor the contract process to ensure compliance with the organization's contractual guidelines, including participation in pre-contract discussions, contract negotiations.

- Responsible to conduct legal review on Companies products, marketing and sales initiatives and address the legal queries raised by sales, product management, marketing, finance and other functional groups.
