Legal Commercial Contracts Expert

Role & responsibilities:

Seeking a lawyer from Textiles or Oil and Gas background. Should Have experience of Euopean Contracts

- Lead Commercial Contracting team for to provide proactive and timely support to business to meet their strategic and growth objectives.

- Provide analysis and counsel on a range of commercial issues in insurance broking and consulting business, including business structures and models, client engagement and transactions, service framework, liability and indemnity, etc.

- Provide guidance around complex and critical contract types, including template and client confidentiality agreements, template client engagement letters, consulting agreements and templates, business associate agreements and vendor-provided agreements (including drafting revisions) and independent contractor agreements.

- Draft, review and negotiate various types of legal documents including contracts, memos, subcontracts, vendor, trading, and acquisition agreements as well as other legal documents.

- Anticipate and identify legal issues of concern to the senior management team and develop legal strategies and solutions, often in situations of high risk with limited time for assessing alternatives.

- Identify and assess emerging changes in legislative & regulatory landscape impacting business and take corrective action including creation of new processes and systems.

- Create playbooks and standard templates for new business requirements.

- Facilitate the development, implementation and maintenance of suitable contract change management control procedures to ensure all contractual variations are recorded, monitored and made in best interest.

- Educate the business teams from time to time on legal ways of working.



Technical Skills:

- MSOffice Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

- General Skills

- Excellent drafting and effective negotiation skills.

- Practical lawyering sense, including the ability to balance risk considerations and commercial needs.

- Excellent stakeholder and team management skills

- Efficient, ability to prioritize workload and multi-task.

- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including senior management and external stakeholders.

Prior Experience:

- 10-15 years of in-house and/or large law firm experience in a transactional practice.

- Experience working in an MNC in India and Europe

- Experience handling high volume of contract review, drafting and negotiation

- Oil and Gas,Cleantech,Renewable,Textile industry experience preferred.

Education/ Qualification:

- LLB from a reputed law school
