The Head - Legal & Liaison will play a crucial role in providing strategic legal counsel and risk management for the organization. The incumbent will be responsible for managing corporate litigation, regulatory compliance, contract negotiations, and government liaison to safeguard the company's interests and ensure seamless legal operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Legal Leadership

- Serve as a key advisor to senior management on corporate legal matters, risk mitigation, and compliance.

- Formulate and implement legal strategies to align with the company's business objectives.

- Ensure corporate governance by staying updated on regulatory changes, judicial trends, and legislative proposals.

Litigation & Risk Management

- Oversee all litigation, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings, ensuring strategic risk assessment and management in India and International level.

- Coordinate with external legal counsel to protect company interests and resolve disputes effectively.

- Devise action plans to strategically liaise and successfully resolve ongoing legal cases.

Corporate Legal Compliance

- Ensure compliance with corporate laws, including Civil & Corporate Law, Competition Law, Labour Law, and Tax Law.

- Develop and implement compliance programs and legal audits to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory adherence.

- Conduct training sessions for employees on key policies and legal developments.

Contract Management & Negotiations

- Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts related to Mergers & Acquisitions, Joint Ventures, - Technology Transfers, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Consultancy Agreements, and Procurement.

- Support business units in contract negotiations, vendor agreements, and due diligence processes.

Liaison & Government Relations

- Build and maintain strong relationships with government bodies, regulatory authorities, and legal forums.

- Act as a representative before regulatory authorities to ensure smooth business operations.

- Proactively identify potential risks and guide departments in liaison matters.

- Personal & Labour Legal Matters

- Handle personal legal matters of promoters and other legal matters affecting company leadership.

- Address labour-related issues within the company and provide legal guidance to HR.

Management Reporting System (MIS)

- Ensure seamless information flow across departments and with the Chairman's office.

- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports on critical legal matters and action plans.

- Ensure timely alerts and updates on compliance, litigation, and risk assessment.

Must Skill:

Experience in India and International Litigation or Arbitration and Vetting International Contracts.
