Designation : Head - Learning & Development
Location : Mumbai
Education : MBA (XLRI / SCMHRD / TISS / XIM)
Experience : 10-15 years into L&D, of which recent 5 years should be into leadership role
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership:
- Provide the leadership and the vision to the team to achieve and exceed the training targets and objectives
- Support the Management and Head HR in strategic and company wide learning initiatives
- Provide clear decision making and communication
- Share information and ideas, and actively encourage participation from others
Learning Needs Analysis, Identification & Formulation:
- Work closely with business leaders in order to analyse the current and future business requirements for learning and development, also identify training needs and trends within the business
- Set up a detailed training needs analysis through the needs identified process in the performance management system review cycles
- Integrate the needs, prioritise based on business requirements and provide key inputs to formulate the annual learning & development calendar for various business
Learning Programs Conceptualisation, Implementation and Review:
- Guide the team to design & develop innovative learning programs based on the identified priorities and build / customise the content to address the business context
- Network with (or refer) senior internal/external faculty to conduct key learning programs
- Manage the end-to-end implementation of the learning programs
- Build a review mechanism to measure the effectiveness of the learning programs being conducted
Learning Partners (Internal/External) :
- Effectively communicate the L&D objectives to learning partners both internally and externally
- Manage the external learning partner relationships in order to deliver effective programs to the organization. Build long term learning partners.
- Ensure that the internal pool of trainers is continuously expanding and delivering effective learning programs to the organization
Learning initiatives:
- Guide the team in conceptualizing long term learning initiatives apart from class-room training to build learning culture (like coaching, e-learning)
- Planning, Budgeting and Tracking
- Plan a yearly, quarterly, monthly and daily program for overseeing an effective learning team
- Manage the training budgets effectively
- Track the overall training and development MIS and present the same to the management.
