Position Description:
- The Head Land Acquisition will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of land acquisition, including coordination with stakeholders and government bodies, handling land matters (sale/lease/license/mortgage), and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- This role reports to the Head External Affairs and requires a proactive approach in resolving existing land issues and managing new acquisitions.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Resolve existing land issues in coordination with the internal legal team.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of acquired land-related statutory documents and policy formulation/amendments.
- Responsible for the acquisition of private and government-owned land under relevant state rules and acts.
- Accountable for approval of forest diversion proposals under FC Act & FRA, if applicable.
- Conduct stakeholder mapping and effective management to build and strengthen relationships with external stakeholders, District Revenue authorities, Forest Authorities, etc.
- Plan and act proactively in land acquisition-related matters, licensing, and ROW transactions.
- Develop a strong and capable team with a high level of competency.

- In-depth knowledge of the Land Acquisition Act and related land matters (sale/lease/license/mortgage).
- Educational Qualification: Graduate/Post Graduate in Public Policy/Economics/Law preferred.
- Total Experience: 12+ years.
