Job Title: Head of Laboratory (Industrial Lime Manufacturing)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all laboratory operations, ensuring adherence to established quality control procedures and industry best practices for the industrial lime manufacturing sector.
- Supervise and mentor laboratory technicians, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback to maintain a highly skilled and motivated team.
- Conduct complex laboratory analyses using advanced wet chemistry techniques and standardized testing procedures.
- Interpret and analyze laboratory results, generating clear and concise reports for internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Coordinate and schedule laboratory testing activities to meet production timelines and customer requirements.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Prepare and maintain accurate laboratory records, documenting procedures, results, and findings.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in laboratory testing methodologies for industrial lime analysis.
- Identify and implement opportunities for laboratory improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage laboratory supplies and inventory, ensuring proper stock levels and cost-effective procurement.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes by identifying and implementing quality control best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Chemistry or a related field (mandatory).
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably within the industrial lime or related manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of leading and managing laboratory operations, including quality control procedures, sample preparation, analysis, and reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of wet chemistry techniques and standardized testing methodologies for industrial lime analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex laboratory data.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Proficient in record-keeping and data analysis tools (e.g., spreadsheets).
- Experience with laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance (a plus).
