Job Description - Looking to hire Head of IT Infrastructure covering Data Centre Operations, Network Operations, IT Procurement, IT Security Audit, General IT Operations with 14+ years of overall experience in a multinational, multi-location setup with a team of at-least 20 individuals.

Our client is a group of tech businesses with a group enterprise value of over USD 1.2 billion with 1500+ employees across offices in India, US & UAE. The company has invested in multiple category business areas as diverse as web presence (domains, hosting, cloud-infrastructure), online advertising, communication & collaboration (voice and messaging) and payments (benefits and compensation).
With expanding operations they are currently looking at hiring a seasoned professional to Head IT Infrastructure for 4 - 5 of their businesses. The incumbent can be based out of Mumbai / Bengaluru.
Description
As the Head of the Corporate IT function, you will direct all aspects of IT infrastructure including Corporate IT support, DC Operations, Procurement & 24/7 SOC/NOC functions across offices and data centers.
You will work closely with a team of highly technical infrastructure professionals, leading each said function, in executing the vision.
Corporate IT:
- Responsible for all aspects of Corporate IT Operations
- Oversee end user support across offices with a heterogeneous environment (Linux, OSX, -Windows)
- Formulate and implement an effective BCP/DR strategy for corporate services
- Capacity planning to ensure we have adequate bandwidth, space and power at all times
- Setting up new Data Centers as required by business
- Work with team to effectively design, implement and maintain a secure network
- Deliver 99.99 % network up time
- Formulate and implement effective DDOS mitigation strategy
- Work with RIR's like ARIN for IP/AS allocation etc
- Managing incident response
- Software/Hardware Asset Management
- Identify new Vendors/OEMs as required by the business from time to time
- Continuously improve operational procedures for effective functioning of the business
- Automate manual processes
- You have managed a reasonably sized team in demanding environments (large scale enterprises, startups etc)
- Experience in setting up and running co-located data centers
- Exposure to dealing with DC/Telecom vendors
- Effectively coach & drive people, work along with them in the trenches and can deliver results rapidly
- Good communication & people management skills
- Good understanding of Linux/Windows operating systems
- Good understanding of DNS & Networking fundamentals, JunOS/IOS and technologies such as BGP, STP, JunOS, IOS, VRRP, LLDP, SNMP, OSPF etc
- Great customer service attitude & effective and decisive leadership
- Ability to work with a distributed team across diverse geographical time zones
- Open to domestic/international travel
