Head - Investment Operations - Insurance

Candidates from Insurance Industry Background can ONLY apply, preferably in the investment department of Insurance companies

- The job is to lead the design, development and functioning of the Mid and Back Office for Investment
Management in order to ensure our customers and shareholders are protected from any misbehavior in managing their entrusted funds. The DGM/GM of the Mid and Back Office will supervise a team which ensures the execution of the proper functioning of Investment Management Front office according to their investment mandates, policies and procedures.

- Responsible for the establishment of the Net Asset Value calculation policies and best practice guidelines according to regulations, and oversees the accurate execution of the daily calculations. Responsible for the correct and in time settlement of transactions in the back office

- Actively participate in defining risk mitigation policies and overall direction of the investment function, as secretary of the Investment Portfolio Management Committee

- Design, establish and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department’s goals and objectives

- Establish and implement short – and long- range departmental goals, objectives and operating procedures

- Develop and implement a system of internal controls that ensures Compliance and reliable Performance

- Reporting via principles, limits, tools and templates and maintain ownership of process improvements for accurate monitoring and reporting

- Ensures the correct valuation of financial instruments according to Indian GAAP

- Responsible for the monitoring and reporting of breaches

- Interaction with regulator/concurrent and statutory auditors and industry forums
