Head International Marketing (GM Exports)
Product Handled: HEAVY CHEMICAL / PETROCHEMICALS INDUSTRY/ LUBRICANTS/ OIL/ MANUFACTURING
- Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions in the area of exports.
- Participate in export forums and conferences in India and abroad, where necessary
- Having managed the marketing and sales function, with independent P&L responsibility in the area of export sales.
- Demand- supply and competitive scenario, regions and country understanding, commercial and logistics parameters, taxes, banking regulations, country and industry/ business risk profiles, major importers, local business parameters, distribution channels
- Accomplishes group organization objectives in the areas of overall exports, across the full product range `of the company
- Overall ownership of the Export function
- Complete knowledge of Export Documentation and Export proceeds like DEPB, Drawback etc
- Establish market leadership for organization in the areas of its export operation
- Export responsibility across the full product range of Organization- current and new
- Ownership and execution of the group export targets across the product range
- Evolving and executing group export marketing strategy and plan in the areas of
- Market identification( regions and countries)
- Positioning
- Branding
- Advertisement and sales promotion
- Pricing
- Distribution strategy
- Channels
- Relationship management
- Handling total Exports Viz. Marketing and Sales, Supply Chain and Managing Sales
- Excise and Customs related documentation for Exports and Imports
- Knowledge of Hedging and Currency management for long term contracts
- Production Planning to Control overseas inventory
- Contracts finalization in coordination with Legal Team / CEO for Key Accounts
- Sales Budgeting and Planning
- Translating the export sales plan (yearly, quarterly, monthly) into results
- Product portfolio, cost competitiveness
- Evaluating various models depending on International pricing scenario of product, suppliers, risk assessment and mitigation.
- Design and build an appropriate organization structure for Exports
- Achieve organization objectives by contributing to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing customer-service standards; resolving problems and issues if any; identifying market opportunities and trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
Should Have:
- Ability to open up new accounts and take things to closure, with respect to pricing, quotes, negotiations, managing the supply chain, follow up on payments etc.
- Need to have successfully managed export targets in the past, achieving top line and bottom line objectives.
- Capability to build relationships and partnerships and ensure high customer satisfaction
