Head - Internal Audit - BFSI

Job Responsibilities: Internal Audit Head

- Develop, implement, evaluate, and refine controls within specific organizational systems to ensure operational and technical efficiency at the corporate level, providing assurance to management.

- Identify instances of excessive or insufficient control and clearly communicate residual risks to management when existing controls are inadequate.

- Stay updated on regulatory changes, emerging audit standards, and advancements in audit technology. Discuss new regulations with Heads of Departments in Risk & Compliance and Legal to mitigate the risk of non-compliance.

- Facilitate the appointment of a reputable audit firm for the organization.

Risk Management and Compliance:

- Offer an objective and evidence-based annual assessment of the adequacy and effectiveness of governance, risk management, and internal control. This assessment aids in the preparation of the annual governance report.

- Promote ethical standards and integrity throughout the organization, emphasizing principles such as honesty, objectivity, competence, and confidentiality.

- Evaluate the sufficiency of key corporate arrangements, including risk strategy, risk register, anti-fraud and corruption strategy, and corporate plan.

- Examine significant partnership agreements and major services provided by third parties, assessing the effectiveness of controls in place to safeguard the organization's interests. Ensure clear lines of responsibility and assurance.

- Review software enhancements and modifications after approval by users and the Central Assessing Board but before they are deployed in live production scenarios.

- Looking for candidates with 15+ years of exp in internal audit with specific exp in SEBI regulations
