The Position: Head-Assurance
Key Priorities and Responsibilities of the position include:
Risk Management:
The incumbent will be responsible for defining groups risk management philosophy and implement a comprehensive structure of policies and procedures that protect group's businesses and assets by management of risks to within acceptable limits. He will advise top management and Board on long-term risk management strategy as well as oversee and manage the implementation process for risk control processes.
Internal Audit & Assurance:
The incumbent shall supervise and handle activities relating to Internal Audit Quality Assurance Function; and review Implementation of the quality assurance standards in all audit exercises to ensure that Office of Internal Audit maintains a quality assurance and improvement program that covers all aspects of the internal audit activity. Lead the internal audit activity's conformance with the Definition of internal auditing and the Standards, and ensure that internal auditors apply the Code of Ethics. He will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance and management procedures and systems for the Organization. He will draw and lead Internal Audit and Assurance Calendar for all Group companies and also work closely with the Managing Directors of respective companies on the reporting. He will be part of the Board's Audit Committee.
Statutory Compliances:
The key focus of this role is to support all statutory requirements manage effectively throughout the group. The incumbent will have to produce reports in sufficient detail to enable conclusions to be drawn and recommendations to be made as to areas of non-compliance with statutory, mandatory and best practice guidance. This will include the undertaking of audits to ensure robust systems of training and competency checks are in place and are managed appropriately by the outsourced contractor. The role holder will liase and work closely with group companies individual businesses and their MD's.
Corporate Governance and Ethics:
This role entails maintaining and updating the governance framework, monitoring compliance with requirements in framework, coordinating governance committee and board member meetings, monitoring certain business processes, establishing and maintaining a record of operational procedures manuals, and analyzing monthly reports. The incumbent will needs to provide key information to key stake holders, board members and committees. Liaison with board members and fulfill their requests for information. Being compliant to Global Standards of Governance and Ethics will be a key driver for the role.

Candidate Profile:
- A qualified Chartered Accountant with around 20 years work experience either from a consulting background heading the Assurance Practice or from any large Indian conglomerate.
- Should be extremely firm and persuasive in nature.
- Possess strong ability to work and lead cross functional teams.
- Demonstrate strong leadership presence.
- High degree of ability to work with external stakeholder's viz. consulting firms, Board, Advisory firms, Government bodies.
- High degree of collaboration and influencing skills to be able to work in partnership with Business Head and Business Peers.
- Should be well connected in the corporate world.
- Strong Domain knowledge in Auditing, Governance and Assurance functions.
- High level of Team Playing abilities.
- Should have strong interpersonal skills as the role demands a very close interaction with various Business Heads. - He should be a self motivated individual having excellent communication skills.
- Strong capability of Planning and Creative Thinking Skills
