Job Title: Head of Institutional (Equity) Research - Financial Services - Mumbai

Job Responsibility:

- Leadership and Management - Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing research team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management within the research department

- Research Strategy - Develop and execute the research strategy aligned with the company's goals and market needs. Ensure research outputs are timely, accurate, and relevant, covering equity markets, sectors, and individual stocks

- Analysis and Insights - Supervise and enhance the research process, including fundamental analysis, and market trend identification. Ensure that research reports and recommendations are based on rigorous analysis and sound methodology

- Client Engagement - Act as a key contact for major clients, presenting research findings and investment recommendations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, Company Management, IR agencies, investors, and other stakeholders

- Market Intelligence - Stay abreast of market developments, economic trends, and regulatory changes that impact the equity market. Provide insights and foresight on market trends and potential investment opportunities

- Collaboration and Integration - Collaborate with other departments, such as trading and sales to integrate research findings into broader business strategies. Ensure effective communication and information sharing across the organization

- Compliance and Risk Management - Ensure all research activities comply with industry regulations and internal policies. Implement and maintain robust risk management practices within the research function

Key Skills:

Mandatory:

- Proven track record of delivering high-quality research and insights that drive investment decisions.

- Strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and economic indicators.

- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to various stakeholders.

- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Experience: Minimum of 6-9 years of experience in equity research, with a significant portion in a leadership or managerial role

Job Location: Andheri, Mumbai

Working Days: 6 day (2nd and 4th Saturday off)

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, CA and CFA) preferred
