Our client offers a subscription based service for kids that offers an inquiry and play-based program for early childhood learning at home for children. It is a startup founded by alumni from IIT, IIM and Georgia Tech that is backed by industry veterans and funded by top-tier venture capital firms. We design, develop and deliver activity kits to the homes of the subscribers every month on a subscription basis. The boxes contain all material and instructions for hands-on fun activities that children in the age group of 2-12 years can do with their parents.Over the last 4 years, the company has grown over 100% every year.
As the Head - Inside Sales, you will be responsible to manage the telesales team, generate lead and business through inside sales.
What you will do:
- Acting as the customer advocate, owning the customer experience and helping the sales teams achieve sales and conversion targets
- Identifying potential customers, creating and closing new business opportunities in line with the strategic direction of the company
- Developing and maintaining the sales playbook and scripts for phone and chat sales
- Assisting in driving growth initiatives across categories
- Reporting periodic and timely performance and attainment against key metrics
- Driving sales strategy and execution for inbound as well as outbound sales
- Handling escalations related to product, pricing, errors, customer issues, etc.
- Achieving sales targets via implementing effective lead conversion
- Improving network penetration and guiding the sales force in enhancing customer interface for achievement of defined sales targets
- Ensuring the long term viability of the business by identifying trends and modifying strategies
- Constantly tracking competitor activity and suggesting ways and means to deal with the same
- Conducting review meetings with the field sales force to identify issues and suggest corrective actions
- Interacting regularly with key customers for quality feedback and strengthening the existing relationship
Candidate Profile:
- Proven track record of B2C sales - Telesales with consistent delivery against commitments
- Should have handled a team of 150+ ppl and managed revenue of at least 3cr per month (roughly 40 cr per annum)
- Strong leadership skills and an ability to inspire sales teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Exceptional business closing skills
- Ability to work in high ambiguity situations and monthly target closures
