Head of Inside Sales

Overview : The Head of Sales is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing th sales activities of a company or organization. This position is vital to the growth and success of the business, as it involves setting sales strategies, driving revenue generation, and leading a team of sales professionals. The Head of Sales plays a crucial role in shaping the company's sales objectives and achieving its financial targets.

Responsibilities:

- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the overall business goals and objectives. This includes identifying target markets, defining sales targets and quotas, and establishing sales territories.

- Team Leadership and Management: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team. Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to the sales team members, set clear performance expectations, and ensure that they have the necessary tools and resources to achieve their targets.

- Revenue Generation: Drive revenue growth by establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and closing sales deals. Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and take appropriate actions to maximize revenue.

- Sales Forecasting and Planning: Develop accurate sales forecasts, monitor market trends, and anticipate customer needs. Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, product development, and finance to align sales strategies with overall business plans.

- Sales Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve the sales processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Implement sales best practices and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing strategies and campaigns that support sales efforts and enhance brand awareness.

- Performance Evaluation and Reporting: Conduct regular performance evaluations of the sales team and provide constructive feedback. Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and other relevant information to the executive team or senior management.

- Market Research and Competitor Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging opportunities, potential threats, and areas for growth.

Requirements:

- Proven track record of successful sales leadership in Edtech industry in India

- Strong business acumen and understanding of sales strategies and techniques.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.

- Analytical and process oriented mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and metrics.

- Proficiency in CRM software and sales management tools.

- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

- Demonstrated ability to hire, retain and mentor a growing team

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or a related field. MBA preferred
