Head - Infrastructure & Urban Project Management

Job description

- Drive implementation of all projects in a Region to achieve best-in-class time and cost efficiency

- Develop project plan and budget and get approval from leadership

- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and benchmark with market

- Manage suppliers to ensure delivery on planned time and budgeted cost

- Monthly visit to every project site to review progress and de-bottleneck key issues

- Transfer best-practices on project delivery

- Leverage volumes across sites to obtain best-in-class rates from suppliers

- Develop guidelines on project execution for site managers based n best-practices across projects

- Work closely with International organisation and Government authority to report critical issues and develop mitigation plan

- Prepare site review MIS and issue mitigation plan for Additional Commissioner meetings based on monthly site visits

- Escalate critical issues and bottlenecks to Additional Commissioner and Commissioner for interventions as required

- Report progress on issue-resolution plan in weekly follow-up call

Qualifications

- Work experience: 10+ years' experience in project delivery in companies like AECOM, CH2ML

- 5+ years' experience as Head, Project for a major infrastructure project

- Education:

- MBA (optional)

- Civil engineering from a top-tier institution

- Competencies required

- Track record of successful end-to-end execution of infra/ utilities projects

- Strong content knowledge/experience in city development

- Strong business/financial judgement, with ability to manage and deliver on timeline and budgets

- Able to excite, motivate and retain high calibre talent
