Head Infrastructure Services (IT)
- Responsible for Infrastructure (data centres, public cloud environment, network) and Platform. Ensuring core service infrastructure health to lifecycle management of the server and network fleet.
- You will establish and manage the strategic vision of the team, leading the efforts to improve the availability and reliability of systems that align with Organisation Enterprise's strategic platform and infrastructure initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sets the mission and vision of the infrastructure, middleware and devops organization to foster a business-oriented mindset driven by continual service improvement.
- Leads the development of strategies and roadmap and ensures its integration with the overall IT and enterprise strategic plans.
- Works with the IT senior leadership team on the service portfolio and governance required to prioritize resources.
- Manages annual OPEX and CAPEX budget for infrastructure, devops and Corp IT to ensure it is consistent with overall strategic objectives.
- Leverages influencing and negotiation skills across IT and the enterprise to enable cost-effective and innovative shared solutions in achievement of business goals.
- Participates in the assessment of external and internal technology capabilities required to achieve desired competitive positioning.
- Maintains currency on new technologies and platforms and provides direction on what emerging technologies should be assimilated, integrated and introduced.
- Provides strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, operation and support of IT systems that fulfil the needs of the business, including the full life cycle of technical architecture, infrastructure engineering, infrastructure operations and IT service support.
- Directs the development of sourcing strategy and provides executive oversight for strategic vendor and partner relationship management.
- Manage central teams to deploy and operate the physical data center, cloud, and database infrastructure across the organization, watching over all aspects of Infrastructure health.
- Partner and participate in customer troubleshooting calls and incident root causes analysis workgroups.
- Track issues and analyze data looking for trends and systemic issues, metrics, metrics, metrics.
- Drive specifications for tools and automation that facilitate lifecycle management (installation to decommissioning) of our server and network fleet at scale.
- Implement process improvements and inform best practices in production operations.
Qualification And Experience:
1. Should have 12+ years in a forward-progressing technology management background.
2. Preferably 5+ years of experience in large, cross-functional teams influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders effectively across the organization and within complex contexts.
3. You have led an IT organization managing mission critical IT projects.
4. You must demonstrate proven ability to effectively lead and meet business objectives in a highly collaborative and high-performance work environment.
5. Must be comfortable with ambiguity and fast change with an ability to adapt quickly and easily.
6. Background operating large scale data centers footprints, supporting production systems.
7. Management background which includes experience of managing managers and managing teams.
8. Preferably proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading IT transformational initiatives in complex and dynamic environments.
