Head of Information Technology
Key Result Areas & Key Responsibilities :
- Work with the business to implement effectively, timely and within budget of all
- Digital initiative across organization. Create Digital road map and awareness across the organization.
1. General :
- Responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of Digital & IT related services including Communication Systems viz- ITOT, VOIP, VC etc., support and information to all users including the plants and Zonal Offices.
- Selection/Proposing, Procurement, installation and upkeep including AMCs of the suitable hardware and Software systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, software applications, peripherals etc., for the organization.
- Ensuring effective operation, minimize downtime and maximum feasible utilization of the existing/ future IT infrastructure.
2. IT Security :
- Develop policies that encourage secure working and protect data.
- Establishing security stance through policy, architecture and training processes across all the Units of the company.
- Selection of appropriate security solutions.
- Keep check of IT security of the company by vulnerability audits and assessments.
3. Strategic Activities :
- Defining the IT strategy, aligning the set objectives in line with the objectives and strategies of the company.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for IT systems operations and development.
- Propose to hire Partner, wherever possible, to design, develop, implement, operate and administer IT and telecommunications software, networks and information systems.
- Control the IT systems budgets and expenditures.
4. SAP :
- Ensure the effective usage of SAP application across the company with the objective to optimize of recourse utilization with speed and accuracy.
5. Management and leadership :
- Representing department in monthly review meetings and other meetings of HODs.
- Periodic review of quality assurance system of the Department.
- Providing support and guidance to the plant IT teams.
- Manage and motivate staff in the IT Department to provide an excellent service to customers.
- Encourage team members to develop their skills and expertise.
6. Any other responsibility as may be assigned from time to time.
