Job Purpose:

- Implement and improve key processes in project management to ensure efficient reporting and updates.

- Create a project framework that meets internal and external customer expectations and business needs.

- Take overall responsibility for executing and managing IT projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management and Planning:

- Oversee airport IT systems projects from design to handover.

- Execute large IT projects under CAPEX to support business and operations.

- Build and lead the project execution team.

- Define project scope, objectives, specifications, and quality criteria.

- Ensure deliverables are managed according to plan.

Risk and Resource Management:

- Manage project risks and develop contingency plans.

- Liaise with program management, PMO, EPC, PMC, and related agencies.

- Monitor overall progress and resource usage, initiating corrective actions when necessary.

- Adopt and apply appropriate technical and quality standards.

- Analyze and manage project risks promptly.

Coordination and Reporting:

- Coordinate with IT contractors to ensure timely completion of work.

- Report project status against the program plan or schedule.

- Ensure successful project handover to the operation team.

- Manage vendor relationships.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Coordinate detailed designing with EPC/Consultant design vendor.

- Support design team in understanding technical risks and dependencies.

- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure readiness of all airport IT systems.

- Manage installation reports and documentation.

- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.

- Ensure successful project handover to the operation team and provide regular updates to senior management.

Transition Management:

- Facilitate knowledge transfer between the project team and operation team.

- Document maintenance procedures for delivered products or services.

- Arrange training for the operation team on installed IT systems.

Interactions:

External:

- Vendors and business associates

- Terminal operations, quality and safety teams

- Airline and concessionaire teams

- Central Industrial Security Force, immigration, and customs

Internal:

- Terminal operation, quality and safety team

- Airside/commercial operation, MEP

- Procurement, electrical and mechanical, finishes/ALD

Dimensions:

Technical/Financial Expertise:

- Experience handling large airport IT systems execution (projects > 100 Crores).

- Strong analytical and organizational skills for task delegation, colleague motivation, and stakeholder management.

- Ability to deliver in a dynamic, ever-changing commercial environment.

- Experience in applying project management methodologies and tools across different projects and programs.

- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.

- At least 15 years of experience in IT project management, preferably in airport IT project implementations.

- Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, electronics, or communications.
