Head - IT
The role is with a leading Consumer organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the IT function, understanding the business, inter-departmental linkages, and how IT can enhance business processes.
- Plan, develop, and direct the IT strategy, aligning it with the overall corporate IT strategy and internal business and operational requirements.
- Oversee the introduction, design, operation, and development of information technology systems, setting maintenance and operational priorities.
- Establish IT security policies in line with corporate security policies, controlling the security of information systems.
- Develop operational IT policies and procedures, technical standards and methods, and set priorities.
- Manage the selection, installation, and use of hardware and software.
- Identify and select IT vendors for providing products and services, liaising with the purchasing team to finalize contracts.
- Handle renewals of contracts with IT vendors.
- Establish and ensure adherence to the IT governance structure for long-term contracts.
- Direct and manage IT service levels through internal and external teams, ensuring efficient and timely operation of the IT function and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Set, control, and monitor the IT budget and costs (Capital and Revenue), identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge database of new equipment, systems, and programming techniques.
- Set and monitor vendor performance standards.
