Job Overview:

We are looking for a seasoned Head of IT (DGM Level) to lead and drive the strategic direction of our IT architecture and systems design.

This leadership role will ensure that our IT solutions are aligned with the company's technological and financial objectives.

The Head of IT will be responsible for overseeing IT project execution, managing day-to-day IT operations, and ensuring end-user issues are addressed within agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Architecture & System Design:

- Design and implement IT architecture and systems that are best suited to the company's requirements, balancing technology needs with financial considerations.

- Ensure all IT projects are executed according to agreed requirements, scope, and timelines.

Stakeholder Engagement & Service Delivery:

- Regularly interact with user departments to understand their business requirements and deliver IT services that meet those needs.

- Ensure that the delivery of business services is aligned with company objectives and user expectations.

IT Operations Management:

- Oversee the daily operations of the IT department, including management of staff responsible for administrative computing, networking, user services, telecommunications, and other IT functions.

- Ensure efficient and effective IT operations across the organization.

IT Solutions Roadmaps:

- Develop and manage IT solutions roadmaps, focusing on end-to-end business process automation, application deployment, digital infrastructure, and workplace solutions.

- Cover areas such as strategy, modernization, DevOps, testing, migration, security, and optimization.

ERP Deployment & Integration:

- Manage the deployment of large-scale ERP systems across the organization and ensure seamless integration with other IT applications and business systems.

- Create an integrated, scalable IT landscape for the organization.

Digital Infrastructure Projects:

- Lead and deliver large-scale digital infrastructure and workplace change projects within a complex enterprise environment.

- Develop business cases, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and Return on Investment (ROI) models to support new initiatives.

Capacity Planning & Budgeting:

- Oversee capacity planning, budgeting, and purchasing for networking, compute, and storage resources, ensuring scalability and efficiency in IT operations.

Compliance & IT Governance:

- Ensure IT compliance with internal control systems and external regulations.

- Execute effective IT governance structures that align with emerging business needs, transitions, and demergers.

Core IT Infrastructure Management:

- Oversee core IT infrastructure, databases, and internal computing services across all business functions and locations.

- Maintain high availability, security, and performance of IT systems.

Team Leadership & Development:

- Provide on-the-job guidance for both technical and behavioral aspects of staff performance.

- Conduct weekly and monthly performance reviews, and promote skill improvement through training initiatives.

- Track attendance, training records, and nominate employees for relevant training based on identified skill gaps.

Essential Qualifications:

- Educational Background: BE/B.Tech/MCA or equivalent degree.

- Experience: 15-20 years of experience in IT, with substantial experience in leading IT operations and projects.

Skills:

- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including plant operations and networking.

- Exposure to IT Business Applications, particularly SAP.

- Expertise in cyber security design and management to create and maintain a secure IT environment.

Desirable Attributes:

- Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization.

- Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed and timely decisions.

- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
