Head Industrial Relations (IR) - EPC Industry
- We are hiring ex-service army veteran from the Indian Army (Major, Colonel and above rank) with 8+ years of experience in industrial relations within the EPC or construction industry for a leading Indian multinational company in India!
Location: Vadodara (on-site)
Key Responsibilities:
- Industrial Relations Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive IR strategies aligned with the company' objectives and values.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations, maintaining ethical standards and practices.
- Dispute Resolution: Address and resolve industrial disputes and grievances in a timely and effective manner.
- Implement conflict resolution strategies to maintain workplace harmony.
- Policy Development: Formulate, review, and update IR policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all IR policies are communicated effectively to employees and management.
- Compliance and Legal Affairs: Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws and regulations.
- Liaise with legal counsel on matters of labour law compliance and dispute resolution.
- Employee Engagement: Foster a positive employee relations environment through effective communication and engagement initiatives.
- Conduct regular meetings with employees and union representatives to address concerns and feedback.
- Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs for management and staff on IR-related topics.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in industrial relations.
- Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of IR strategies and initiatives.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on IR activities and outcomes.
Workmen Management:
- To manage all statutory requirement related to workmen lifecycle starting from hiring, wage payment, exit etc.
- Work closely with HR, operations, and other departments to ensure cohesive and aligned IR practices.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications & Person Specification:
- Master's degree in human resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- Should be a major level army personnel or above rank.
- 8+ years of experience in industrial relations, preferably within EPC / Construction environment.
- Track record in union negotiations and dispute resolution.
- In-depth knowledge of labour laws and regulations in India.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple locations and travel as required.
