Head - Indirect Tax Manager

INDIRECT TAX MANAGER (Head):

- Ensure compliance with various indirect tax laws, rules, and regulations by reviewing financial records, invoices, and tax returns.

- Asist in the preparation and filing of indirect tax returns such as Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns.

- Conduct comprehensive tax research and analysis to identify any changes in laws or regulations and their potential impact on the organization.

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of indirect taxes.

- Provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on indirect tax matters.

- Assist in the resolution of indirect tax disputes and audits.

- Keep abreast of changes in indirect tax laws.

- Ensure GL reconciliation with returns liability and ITC and passing correction entries related to Tax.

- Draft replies to notices related to pre-GST matter and attending departmental hearings whenever required.

- Handle departmental audits, enquiries, and similar interventions.

- Develop, implement and monitor tax control and compliance through robust system and process orientation.

- Working closely with the leadership on tax matters along with other relevant internal/external stakeholders.

- Stay abreast on tax legislation, changes in tax regime, evaluate implications and support in decision-making.

- Perform/co-ordinate on indirect tax due diligence for onshore and offshore projects.

- Working/Liaising with internal and Statutory auditors in regard to the audit requirements.

Qualification And Experience:

- CA/CWA with 2-4 years of experience in Indirect Taxation Litigation &/or Advisory Services at reputed BIG 4 / Law firms. Or Heading/manging Direct Tax department in the Industry.

- Expert technical knowledge in terms of understanding legislation.

- Excellent written and Verbal Communication & Presentation Skills.

- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills resulting in business relationships of trust, confidence, and effective outcomes. Highly principled with strong ethics.

- Sound commercial knowledge and problem-solving skills.
