Please note - We're only looking for candidates who come with deep indirect procurement experience (especially with professional services as a category) and who have built/managed processes which are scalable at a global level.
Main purpose of role:
- Ensure the company has an effective indirect procurement policies and procedures
- Drive Indirect Procurement strategies to increase value and cost reduction
- Provide indirect category procurement governance
Responsibility:
- Drive significant savings (current total spend >- 100M)
- Liaising with company colleagues (across Operations and support functions) to determine product and service requirements in the business
- Develop and maintain strong and trusted relationships with business stakeholders (including Exec members)
- Development of category strategies including market and industry analysis
- Completion of RFI / RFQ and tender management processes
- Negotiation of supplier agreements
- Establish and maintain excellent supplier relationships and facilitate periodic business reviews
- Identifying areas for cost savings and business benefits
- Identifying and researching products and services to improve performance and assist in achieving sustainability goals/commitments
- Develop, monitor and enhance service level agreements and key performance indicators with key supplier contracts. This includes ensuring contractual compliance and satisfactory performance against agreed KPIs
- Supporting with supplier approvals and on boarding
- Manage complex projects from conception through implementation, including change management Governance
- Implement appropriate internal governance and analyses and reporting on indirect category spend with regular review and reporting to the Executive team
Knowledge and experience:
- A professional and respectful procurement expert with a modern inclusive approach.
- 10 years procurement / category management
Held senior procurement roles with responsibility for relevant categories especially:
- Professional Services / consultancy
- Legal services
- S&M categories (collateral, design & production)
- HR
- IT
- Ability to work in an independent and individual role
- Ability to quickly establish credibility with internal stakeholders
- Solid business acumen accompanied by interpersonal savvy
- Significant expertise in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management
- Have a bias for action and fast decision making.
- Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships internally & externally
- Superior influencing, communication, negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability of managing cost performance
- Solid track record for effectively managing projects - planning, assessing and implementing change
- Experience in Procurement: Requests for Information/Proposal (RFI/RFP), Evaluation, Selection, etc.
