They command revenue of approx. 4.5 million Euros annually through their market leading presence and strategic joint ventures internationally.

Job Description: This Position reports to the Tax Lead - Asia and involves effectively managing the End to End Gamut of both Direct and Indirect Taxation for Pan-India Operations. His responsibilities include:

- Ensure compliance for all direct and indirect tax returns and payments (India) Managing all statutory audits effectively to have minimum nos. of litigations / show cause notices.

- Lead a team of seven people within the India Tax team.

- Negotiate with various government authorities and departments on taxation matters.

- This role will involve traveling within India and to the regional office in Singapore.

- Ensure that all eligible CENVAT / Service Tax Input tax Credits are availed by company and adequate documentation in support.

- Represents Orica (or through tax consultants) in tax assessment, reassessment, audit, appeal and other tax proceedings in India

- Keep updated with recent changes in Indian Direct & Indirect tax laws and regulation

- Assist the Tax Lead-Asia in Development and Implementation of Tax Strategy.

The Successful Candidate:

- Must be a qualified CA/ICWA/MBA Finance with a Minimum of 10 years of experience within Taxation.

- Should have strong Interpersonal, Negotiation and Communication skills to effectively liaise with regional stakeholders and government authorities.

- Background within Manufacturing/Chemicals Industry would be Preferable.

- Legal and computational expertise in Direct & Indirect taxation
