HR ( Manufacturing)

1. Implementing the HR Strategy in line with the business plans and executing on all aspects of HR w.r.t. Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Organisation Design, Talent Management and Industrial Relations.

2. Establish and maintain a positive work environment and highly safe working conditions in all plants

3. Lead successful implementation of HR business processes within the plant

4. Ensures plant compliance with HR-related legal and regulatory guidelines.

5. Work closely on all ER & IR matters with total accountability of labour laws compliances.

6. Design and deliver an over-arching industrial relations strategy with the key focus on modernising trade Union relationships

7. Set direction, create ER policy, process, tools and offer expert advice in all matters relating to collective bargaining and corporate-wide industrial relations issues.

8. Work with Head of Human Resources and People Business Partners to develop pay and other negotiating mandates for use across all bargaining groups

9. Drafting responses to adverse action, unfair dismissal and other FWC claims

10. Act in the interest of the business in any workplace dispute resolution matters

11. Act as key liaison point for any Unions or Industrial bodies

12. Quickly and effectively responding to any issues, incidents, questions or complaints.

13. Mentoring and developing our internal resources to an industry best standard

14. Ensure compliance with Work Health & Safety (WHS) Policies and Procedures

15. Attend and provide guidance and support to Managers and Team Leaders with regards to internal staff performance reviews, grievance, equal opportunity and disciplinary matters.

16. Maintain oversight of employment contract templates and induction handbooks

17. Maintain awareness of proposed changes to relevant laws, practices or regulations

18. Foster strong links with external networks and share best practice in the field of Industrial Relations.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Masters in Human Resource Management with 20+ years of experience in Chemical, cement, Petrochemical Plant or large integrated manufacturing sites with exposure of handling 3-5 manufacturing sites.

- Demonstrated strategic planning and operational delivery skills within the recruitment and labour hire industry.

Well versed with all labour laws and compliances.

- Ability to work within strict requirements for all legislative bodies within our industry

- Foundational knowledge base and demonstrated experience working within the HR, ER & IR frameworks across the full scope of HR Services at both an operational and strategic level.

- Exposure of handling contractual work force along with handling Unions and agreements.

- Advanced written, verbal & interpersonal communication skills

- A strategic thinker and a result-driven doer, has the ability to understand business needs, provide strategic support, find the solutions and put good ideas into action.

- Ability to work in a matrix organization.

- An excellent people manager and leader; able to recruit, develop and retain a high calibre team across diverse departments.
