The Organization is a home-grown 40+ yrs. old company engaged in manufacturing and supply of comprehensive range of heavy and extra heavy-duty wheels and castors to industries like- Auto/material handling/Aerospace/medical devices with a turnover between 70-100 cr ,targeting to double it in next 5 yrs.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Position Title HR Head
Purpose of the Position: To design and implement the HR strategy(including the creation of HR policies, procedures, processes & technology) to help attract, develop and retain competent and motivated workforce to realize Organization's vision & goals
Reporting To DIRECTOR
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop a strategic plan (up to 2 years) & define the priorities to attract, develop & retain talent at the organizations.
2. Examine the existing processes, practices, policies, technology and redesign/ create new ones in line with long term strategy.
3. Lead the culture building efforts by identifying core culture behaviors in collaboration with Senior Leadership
4. Create an employee value proposition to hire "right" talent for the organization and hire as per the plan for the year.
5. Develop the performance management system - process, template, governance and deploy it across the organization
6. Develop the compensation, Reward & Recognition systems and ensure its deployment across the organization
7. Identify the critical training needs for employees and develop the right mechanisms for skill/ competence building.
8. Identity the critical talent to be nurtured & retained to support the organization's growth and initiate actions to enhance retention
9. Develop the annual budget plan for HR function in line with the targets/ growth objectives.
10. Work closely with - Sales, Plant, Marketing, Quality, Procurement to gain a pulse of engagement, expectations and people requirements on ground and initiative necessary actions to enhance engagement.
11. Maintain a conducive and productive industrial relationship environment by ensuring seamless delivery of HR services.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
1. Manpower availability as per business plan
2. Performance on key HR metrics - Manpower Cost as a % of revenue, attrition, retention of talent, training man days
3. Compliance of all statutory requirements
4. Technology Adoption - HRMS the organization has adopted Spine as their HRMS
5. Employee Engagement Score
Knowledge, Skills and personal attributes:
- 12 - 15 years' experience of hand on working on critical HR - people processes with organizations
- Exposure of Talent management - identification, development across levels. This would include hiring of talent using relevant hiring tools and methods
- Awareness of labour statutes and regulatory requirements including compliances
- Experience of having worked with organizations with manpower - supervisory, operators and labour
- Exposure and understanding of compensation and benefit models and practices would be useful.
- Experience of having set up processes (or made improvements) to HR processes is important.
- Knowledge and understanding of HR Tech - having deployed or used HRMS (various modules - Learning, PMS, Goal deployment etc)
- Working closely with senior leaders, including promoters - sharing ideas and translating their requirements into results
- Building a team and getting results through them.
- Strong ability to understand the business - its key drivers, levers, limitation.
- Ability to speak the language of the business is key.
