Job Title: HR and IR Head (Reporting to CEO)
Location: Chennai, India
Position Overview:
As the HR and IR Head, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Human Resources and Industrial Relations within our organization. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong understanding of HR best practices, labour laws, and the ability to foster a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Lead the recruitment and onboarding process, ensuring the organization has the right talent to meet its needs.
- Build and maintain positive employee relations by addressing concerns, conducting employee surveys, and implementing engagement initiatives.
- Develop and oversee performance management systems, including performance appraisals and goal setting.
- Identify training needs, create training programs, and facilitate employee development opportunities.
- Manage the compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness in the market and compliance with labour laws.
- Stay updated on labour laws and regulations, ensuring the organization's compliance and providing guidance to management.
- Handle employee grievances and disciplinary matters in a fair and consistent manner.
- Foster positive relations with employee representatives
- Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and fairness.
- Oversee health and safety initiatives to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives within the organization.
- Establish and monitor HR metrics to track the effectiveness of HR and IR programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or relevant certifications preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HR and IR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive employee and labour relations.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical HR practices.
