Serve as a Key Member advising business leadership team responsible for HR processes.
- Conceptualizing & implementation of policies for effective management of available human resources and development of human capital across the organization.
- Overall talent management strategy including workforce planning; recruiting; hiring; training and development; performance planning, management, and improvement and succession planning.
- Guides and manages the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for the entire company.
- Oversee employment law compliance and compliance to regulatory concerns.
- Demonstrated proficiency in policy development, documentation, and implementation.
- Oversees employee safety, welfare, wellness and health.
- Responsible for community outreach and communication, and charitable giving.
- Analysis of the effectiveness of all human resources efforts.
- Manage and develop direct reporting staff.
- Manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets.
- Audit and authenticate all documents related to legal, salary statements and distribution, policies etc.
- Provide Administrative support to the Departments as desired
- Manage most aspects of Human Resources/Personnel functions such as maintaining personnel files, orienting new employees, obtaining and/or completing all personnel related documents, monitoring staff absences, processing payroll, administering benefits, and monitoring compliance with local, State labor and employment laws.
- Plan for employees performance appraisal; develop tools for appraisal, job evaluation and development.
- Develop administrative systems to increase efficiency, including the maintenance of all key files.
- Implement office administration policies as required.
- Must have detailed knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance
- Identify and devise dispute resolution strategies for the site, including providing support for managers in the prevention and resolution of industrial disputes and grievances.
- Lead negotiations and disputes with unions and represent CSL Behring in relevant industrial relations forums.
- Proactively identify and report on emerging industrial and labor relations issues and define strategies to prevent, minimize, or resolve disputes, challenges, and issues to ensure organizational priorities are met.
- Foster a progressive labor/industrial relation culture at a site level.
- Build and manage awareness and competence amongst the respective leadership groups on relevant topics and strategies for industrial and labor relations.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Characteristics :
- MBA HR/ MLS/MPM or a related field preferred with minimum 8 yrs of post qualification experience.
- These are the most important qualifications of the individual selected as the human resources Head.
- Strong effective communicator in writing, business presentations and in interpersonal communication.
- Highly developed, demonstrated teamwork skills.
- Able to direct the efforts of a team of diverse human resources professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to increase productivity and continuously improve methods, approaches, and departmental contribution while being cost-sensitive. Commitment to continuous learning.
- Expert in employment law and employee relations and communication.
- Ability to lead in an environment of constant change.
- Experience working in a flexible, employee empowering work environment. Structured or large company experience will not work here.
- Familiarity and skill with the tools of the trade in human resources includingHRIS, Microsoft Office suite of products, file management, and benefits administration.
- Experience in organization development and change management.
