Key Responsibilities :
Strategic :
- Design and articulate the short-term and long-term HR strategy for the organization aligned to the overall organization vision/ mission, business strategy and objectives
- Design and implement various organizational development interventions across the organization to enable business readiness and continuous employee growth and development
- Coach and advise business leadership on best practices, systems and policies related to people management and oversee execution of the same
- Oversee the administrative support activities to increase operational efficiency and attain optimal utilization of various resources
- Build and maintain networks and relationships with Industry Associations / Forums and other HR Professionals within the industry to promote the client employer brand
Financial :
- Oversee the preparation of the annual manpower budget for the organization and monitor adherence to the same
- Lead the annual budgeting exercise for the HR and Administration function and ensure adherence to the same; identify measures to increase cost-efficiency of HR and Administration activities
Operational :
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Principles (SOPs) for all processes in the HR & Administration Department
- Lead periodic review of organization structure, reporting relationships and delegation of authority to align it with the organization strategy and needs
- Play the catalyst role in positioning client as an Employer of Choice through various employer branding initiatives and benchmarking with best practices in the industry
- Participate actively in the recruitment process for the Senior Management positions across the organization and Senior / Middle Management positions within the function
- Periodically update the HR policy framework across the employee life cycle: recruitment, induction, performance management, training & development, compensation & benefits career and succession planning
- Design and review the compensation & benefits strategy for the organization to ensure that it is aligned to business needs& benchmarked to Industry standards
- Supervise the design and implementation of training and development interventions aimed at developing employee capabilities in the organization
- Provide overall supervision and guidance on the performance management process and continuously monitor its efficacy
- Oversee the design and implementation of the various employee engagement initiatives across the organization
- Oversee the effective implementation of the IR strategy at all sites for cordial employee relations
- Lead the design and implementation of systems to automate HR processes and reporting mechanisms
- Identify contracting companies who can be appointed for various administration activities, lead the hiring process of outsourced party and define the scope of work with them
- Ensure adherence to all statutory compliances and maintenance of relevant records for the same
- Build and maintain strong relations with government bodies such as Department of Labor, recruitment vendors, industry peers, forums/ HR consulting firms, etc.
- Ensure the Human Resource & Administration department is adequately staffed as per the manpower requirements
People :
- Conduct timely goal setting, monitoring, review of performance and provide feedback to team members
- Ensure high level of employee engagement and retention of critical employees
- Provide subordinates with guidance, training and required growth opportunities to ensure their development for higher roles
- Mentor and coach subordinates to develop their capabilities and build a strong succession pipeline for the role
- Foster an environment of learning, excellence and innovation within all aspects of team work
