Position: Head HR & IR
Client: A MNC Industrial firm
Role:
- Manage a full range of IR & HR services for unit in order to support the overall business strategy of the Business. This includes Employee Relations, compliances with the appropriate authorities, union issues, negotiations, wage settlements, welfare and establishment activities, planning, organizing and directing the recruitment process, compensation, benefits, training at Plant level etc.
Specific Responsibilities:
- The incumbent will independently head all the HR and IR issues of plant and ensure a peaceful and productive industrial atmosphere leading to the achievement of the business objectives.
- Communicate and ensure understanding by employees of laws, regulations, and organizational policies and answer questions by managers and employees as needed
- Handle all Union related negotiations and keep management updated on any developments.
- Ensure all labor laws as per the Government rules and regulations are followed, maintain harmonious relations with employees, Unions etc.
- Execute and monitor grievance and disciplinary policies and procedures to ensure fairness and consistency
- Implement and execute proactive positive employee relations initiatives and respond to union organizing activity
- Investigate and resolve associate complaints, issues. and concerns regarding employment practices originating from various sources
- Participate in collective bargaining activities, including contract administration, grievance responses, arbitration preparation, negotiation preparation, and strike contingency planning
- Partner with counsel to prepare for and when necessary attend mediations, arbitration, and other court proceedings
- Plan, develop and implement staff development plan, the internal learning organization and associate development system.
- Prepare and control overall human resources budgets and manpower planning for the plant.
Qualification:
- MBA a must. Experience in managing a unionized plant. Knowledge of Marathi a must
