We have been mandated by a large Building Material conglomerate for the below mentioned role.

Position Description:

Designation : Head HR & IR

Location : Karnataka

Qualifications : Masters degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.

Position Objective:

The Head - IR & HR will be responsible for leading the industrial relations and human resources functions at an integrated cement plant. The role requires expertise in managing labour relations, Union, handling grievances, ensuring statutory compliance, and overseeing HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Labor Management:

- Oversee the recruitment, management, and administration of contract labor.

- Ensure compliance with labor laws related to contract workers.

- Develop and maintain relationships with labor contractors and agencies.

Union Relations:

- Build and maintain positive relationships with labor unions.

- Lead negotiations and settlements with unions on wages, working conditions, and other matters.

- Handle union-related grievances and disputes effectively.

Wages Settlement:

- Manage and oversee the wage settlement process.

- Ensure timely and fair wage disbursements in accordance with agreements.

- Conduct periodic wage reviews and adjustments as required.

Statutory Compliance:

- Ensure the plant's compliance with all labor laws, regulations, and statutory requirements.

- Keep updated with changes in labor laws and implement necessary adjustments.

- Prepare and submit required statutory reports and documentation.

Grievance Handling:

- Establish and manage a grievance redressal system.

- Address and resolve employee grievances promptly and fairly.

- Conduct investigations into grievances and recommend corrective actions.

HR Operations:

- Oversee HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, training, and development.

- Implement HR policies and procedures to ensure smooth HR functions.

- Manage employee records and HRIS systems.

Performance Management:

- Implement and oversee performance appraisal systems.

- Identify and address performance gaps through training and development programs.

Employee Engagement:

- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.

- Foster a positive workplace culture through employee welfare programs.
