Strategic HR Leadership: - Collaborate with senior leadership and business heads to align HR strategy with business goals. - Drive talent acquisition strategies to meet the high-volume recruitment needs, particularly for front-line and operational staff. - Implement workforce planning and forecasting to ensure the right talent is in place at the right time, addressing both short-term and long-term needs. 2. Talent Acquisition and Management: - Lead talent acquisition teams to attract, recruit, and onboard staff, particularly in high-turnover positions such as servers, cooks, and delivery staff. - Focus on building a talent pipeline that includes both high-potential internal talent and external candidates. - Work with hiring managers to create recruitment strategies, such as job fairs, recruitment drives, and digital campaigns. 3. Employee Engagement and Retention: - Develop programs that enhance employee engagement, job satisfaction, and morale, which is crucial in a high-turnover environment. - Create and drive recognition programs, career progression, and personal development opportunities for both entry-level and management employees. - Introduce work-life balance initiatives and wellness programs to reduce burnout and improve retention. 4. Learning and Development: - Design training and development programs that ensure all staff, especially frontline workers, are up to date with operational processes, safety standards, and customer service skills. - Support the creation of leadership development pathways to prepare high-potential employees for managerial roles within the QSR. - Work with the learning team to offer digital, on-the-job, and instructor-led training opportunities, especially in areas of food safety, customer service, and management. 5. Performance Management: - Implement effective performance management systems that help track, measure, and manage the performance of both operational and corporate teams. - Use data and analytics to drive decisions on improving employee performance and productivity, especially in fast-paced environments. - Work closely with managers to provide feedback, coaching, and support on performance and development goals. 6. Compensation and Benefits: - Develop competitive compensation structures, including hourly rates for frontline staff, incentives, and bonuses for high performers. - Ensure benefits offerings are aligned with employee needs and the market, offering health insurance, wellness programs, and other incentives. - Keep up with labor law changes and ensure compliance with regulations related to wages, hours, and working conditions. 7. Labor Relations and Compliance: - Ensure all HR policies and procedures comply with local labor laws and regulations, particularly around wage and hour laws, health and safety standards, and employee rights. - Develop and manage a clear process for addressing grievances, conflicts, and disputes within the workplace. - Maintain good relationships with unions (if applicable) and handle collective bargaining agreements (if relevant). 8. Culture and Organizational Development: - Foster a culture of inclusion, diversity, and respect within the QSR environment. - Create initiatives that build team morale and ensure a positive, customer-focused work environment. - Drive the company's core values and vision to all employees to align daily operations with the broader organizational culture. 9. HR Metrics and Analytics: - Leverage data and metrics (e.g., turnover rates, absenteeism, employee satisfaction) to assess and improve HR practices. - Regularly report on HR performance to business leaders, providing insights on workforce trends and areas for improvement. 10. Crisis Management and Change Management: - Be proactive in crisis management, especially during high-stress periods like staffing shortages, seasonal demands, or public relations challenges. - Lead change management initiatives, especially when implementing new processes, technologies, or restructuring. Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. - 10+ years of HR experience in leadership roles, particularly in industries like QSR, retail, food and beverage or hospitality. - Experience working in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment. - Strong understanding of labor laws and compliances.
