Head of GSC Underwriting

Location : Hyderabad

Experience : 18-30 years

Salary : 1.1 CR

Must Have :

- Underwriting + collections, fraud of credit services

- Transformation initiatives

- Geographies has the candidate covered- (Hyderabad, Philippines, Malaysia, Malta, China)

- Has managed a team of minimum 750 ppl

Requirements :

- The role holder will ideally have 10 years of experience managing a Credit risk function , preferably underwriting

- Deep knowledge of the credit origination processes end to end

- Highly developed conceptual skills (business models, organizational design) and analytical skills (business performance, market & competitive dynamics) to craft and execute sophisticated hypothesis-driven analysis.

- Detailed knowledge of WPB markets, products, and governance structures.- Ability to rapidly form effective relationships and achieve influence at senior levels in the organization.

- Demonstrated experience in building out new functional capabilities, navigating stakeholders across functions and markets and delivering results.

- Preferably experience working with external vendors, developing business cases to seek investments.- Knowledge of strategic delivery of controls within a large multi-faceted operation.

- Operational experience and experience resolving operational challenges would be preferred.- Experience of working within a multi matrixed organization engaging with executive level stakeholders is essential.

- Experience/expertise in transformation would be preferable.

Principal responsibilities :

The role holder is accountable for underwriting operations spanning across all the GSC locations. The role holder will need to:

- Work closely with the global and regional leadership to provide inputs on offshoring strategy, help draw up and implement strategic initiatives for the business and contribute towards the overall goals of UWS

Operations :

- Help develop metrics, scorecards, and status reports to track operational performance across various

Teams :

- Maintain awareness of trends, events, etc. within the operations area through external contacts, research bodies, data processing vendors, etc. and advise management of new developments.

- Develop, drive, and implement best practice in respect of communication between the GSC UWS Ops team and Global/Regional teams.- Ensure that the Operations team's exposure to regulatory and reputational risks is managed, in a commercially sensitive, practical, and cost-effective way.
