Head Governance - Trade Finance Operations
We are hiring for one of our client based in Mumbai.
Role Description:
The role focuses to move to a higher standard in managing Financial Crime risk. The incumbent will act as the liaison point between the various risk functions, and will provide the governance and direction to the Operations team. They will be required to interpret financial crime compliance policies and procedures into the day to day procedures for the transactional services and therefore will require a high degree of understanding of Trade Ops in terms of technical knowledge together with its related rules. This role is also required to manage all the transformation related initiatives which are driven by various internal and external changes.
Responsibilities:
- Participation in devising and monitoring of internal governance activities
- Oversight over Offshoring and Outsourcing
- Working with external service providers to manage or evaluate their provision, monitor their performance and ensure service level agreements are honored
- Manage a team responsible for Financial Crime Compliance and Business Quality Assurance Programme sampling for Transaction Services
- Liaison with the regulator(RBI) for case approvals
- Drive transformation related projects based on Global directives
- Management of impaneled vendors within Trade Services
Requirements:
- Strong International Trade experience working knowledge
- Experience in a risk function, internal audit, compliance etc. would be preferred
- Knowledge of key current regulatory change initiatives and their impacts on the trade business
- Proven ability in leading a large team and strong people management
- An excellent understanding of the regulatory environment and expectations,- interpretation of- rules and guidance together with- and other relevant regulations.
