Designation : Head of Global Portfolio Management – Insecticides

Location : Mumbai

Job Description :

The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for portfolio planning and execution throughout the product/portfolio life cycle which also includes gathering and prioritizing portfolio and customer requirements, defining the portfolio vision and working closely with sales, marketing and other related departments to ensure revenues and customers satisfaction goals are fulfilled.

The Portfolio Manager is expected to define following key area :

1. Designing portfolio strategies to improve market presence, reach, share and penetration on global basis to meet the organization goals

2. To manage profitability of portfolio across the product value chain to maximize opportunities for profitable growth

3. Develop proximity innovations with formulation types, mixtures, integrated solutions on the targeted crop

4. Market intelligence, segmentation along with analysis and product positioning for the respective portfolio

5. Long term planning along with streamlining the portfolio

6. B2B Business opportunities, product gap analysis and coordination with development and R&D teams to bridge strategic planning gap

7. Vendor management along with marketing inputs/ promotional activities, team building, training and development activities

8. Develop product defense and stewardship approach in cooperation with other functions/ regions / counties

Required Experience and Knowledge

1. 12 to 15 years experience in agribusiness industry and 5 – 7 years experience of product/portfolio management

- Preferred if any global exposure/experience

2. Good in communication skills and technical knowledge

Ability to work / manage cross functional teams with leadership abilities
