Head - FX & Derivatives Operations

As a key member of the Core Operations Management Team, the role holder will be responsible for :

- Provide insight both internally and externally across other functions to support/challenge business decisions and strategy

- Identify demand for technology and delivery of process improvements for relevant to settlement, clearing, confirmation and asset servicing with a view to increasesubstantially working with other teams e.g. reference data and technology and influence prioritisation for delivery. Utilise and realise advantages of co-location with IT and ref data teams.

- Deliver substantial cost efficiency meeting agreed resource and financial targets through standardisation, commoditisation and if appropriate centralisation of processes. Drive the India agenda for the global TOM, and manage transitions where required to meet cost targets.

- Engage with business strategy especially around future operating model, clearly ensuring the best practice is delivered through the transformation programme

- Ensure business needs are communicated; best practice is defined and engage global teams; act as the point of global escalation and control for the functions and client set that we own.

- Primary business link in the region for FXMM & Derivatives Operations functions with input into business strategy

- Driving in partnership with MT leads the strategic initiatives to deliver on the mandate;

- Own the cultural change that is required to ensure India is seen as a customer centric team; identify metrics that are customer based and develop a non SLA based approach to customer service

- Relationship management with external organisations relevant to FXMM and Derivative: LCH, CLS, clearing houses, settlement organisations

- Influence the industry agenda and market best practices through leadership in forums such as the DOIF.

- Strategy formulation - forecasting multi-year financial impacts of plans on budgets / business cases aligned with both regional and global budget practices

- Operationalisation of strategy - Driving Cost Management within budgets and aligning revisions as per changing strategy;

- Input into the Location Strategy for global in partnership with the head of Core Operations and the MT.

- Driving cost efficiency / productivity improvement initiatives to deliver efficiency gains as per target. Including support for delivery of organization's cost rationalization initiatives

- Partnership in driving the India Core Operations people agenda of engagement, reward and recognition, attrition management, learning and development, career planning and C&R, ensuring consistency with the global and other regional agendas.

- Support the in it's endeavor to continue to be the Employer of Choice

- Support effective communication of the Bank's vision, strategy and overall direction to all staff.

- Strengthen the communication chain and ensure an open interaction with all levels.

- Contribute to and support all aspects of the management framework and people plan in line with global strategy and objectives

- Be a part of the Core Operations India Leadership team to support execution of delivery strategy

- Represent FXMM & Derivatives Ops India in Risk & Control forums in GHI and Global

- Be part of the various risk & control forums, people forums, operational excellence forums to support driving the agenda for India

- Drive metrics for use both internally (to improve quality) and externally e. g. to improve industry and client rankings and improve positioning in industry benchmarks

- Supervise the operational control environment and RACA compliance; constantly assessing and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of controls, RACA compliance. Intelligently and swiftly remediate control gaps

- Be liaison for all internal and external audits and process reviews.

- Ensure that the FXMM and Derivatives operations functions within the region are compliant with policies and deliver against regulatory and legal obligations
