Organization:

The organization is a large international development sector organization working in over 30 countries across the globe. The organization works on programs in health, education and livelihood.

Position: Head Fundraising

Position Reporting: Executive Director

Location:The position can work from anywhere in India

Experience: Minimum 15 years

Position Description:

This position will develop and implement the organization's fundraising strategy. The emphasis is on expanding and diversifying the donor base pipeline with Corporates, Corporate Foundations and High nett worth individuals. The position needs to set the strategic direction and manage the fundraising activities. The focus will be to deliver the fundraising programs and maximize revenue from different sources.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement the fundraising strategy in line with the organization's vision, mission and objectives

- Develop, manage and maintain positive relationships with existing and new donors in order to maximize the fundraising potential

- Identify and contact prospective donors ie Corporates, Corporate Foundations and HNIs to broaden sources of funding

- Identify and implement alternative and innovative fundraising possibilities

- Forge new relationships to build the organizations- visibility and impact

- Work collaboratively with colleagues in developing proposals by giving strategic and tactical advice

- Develop a relationship management database to ensure efficient and effective systems for fundraising

- Oversee research on funding sources and trends so as to position the organization ahead of major funding changes and trends. Be aware of the latest developments within the donor community and contribution to their policy setting

- Monitor and analyse all donor information for proactive action

- Manage the fundraising budget, which includes planning, phasing and forecasting in line with the organisation financial processes

- Respond to other strategic networking tasks

Required qualification, experience and skills:

- Minimum 10 years- experience in Fundraising for the development sector

- Tangible experience of having expanded and cultivated existing donor relationships over time

- Self-starter, result driven, innovative and team player with a strong passion to achieve

- Strategic leadership with entrepreneurial skills in responding to opportunities

- Flexible and adaptable style; a leader who can positively impact both strategic and tactical fundraising initiatives

- Strong relationship management skills in both private and public settings

- Excellent written, verbal communication skills in English with strong presentation and interpersonal skills

- Outgoing, confident and persuasive communicator

Compensation: Salary will the best in the sector and will be commensurate with qualification and experience
