- Planning, execution and meeting the business targets

- Identify new opportunities for business development

- Ensures necessary resources (personnel, equipment, supplies), optimize utilization and manage them for implementation of the management system, in order to ensure confidence in the laboratory's results. Ensure timely delivery of reports to the customers

- Ensures equipment is qualified, maintained and calibrated, reporting all deficiencies (e.g., equipment malfunctions) in the appropriate manner

- Ensures personnel are trained for the duties they perform - maintains substitutes when regular personnel are absent

- Maintains records and manages all aspects of testing activities

- Ensures laboratory adherence and compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, company's QMS and applicable regulations

- Hires personnel, orientates new personnel. Determines technical training needs of personnel

- Ensures that all health and safety regulations are followed in the laboratory. Drives operational excellence and plans and executes for achievement of quality objectives, minimizes wastes

- Ensures accurate and consistent testing procedures through use of standard test methods and/or by developing, validating and implementing new procedures

- Coordinates purchasing requests, corporate QA to handle quality events

- Review and provide response to Internal and External Audit Reports and ensure effective CAPA system.Coordinate with other supporting departments for efficient operations.Reviews the date generated in LIMS and signs test reports
