In line with their agenda to transform the telecoms sector and the role fixed asset plays in a capital intensive industry, a newly created role has become available for a Head of Fixed Assets. The aim of our client is to transform this transaction heavy unit to a business partnering entity.

Job Description:

- This role requires a fine balance between heading the Fixed Assets division on an operational basis and transforming it to a business partnering unit.

- The main responsibility will be to map out and execute the road map to achieve this transformation in close alignment with the senior leadership's vision for the same.

- The primary difference between this role and a Fixed Asset lead role is this position will be key in driving the envisioned transformation through process improvement initiatives such as ERP implementation and other similar IT projects.

- Further, the high profile nature of the role requires close collaboration with Circle and functional heads to drive synergies and ensure smooth functioning of the FA function at Corporate .

- Other aspects of this role include keeping a close eye on the operational part such as maintaining hygiene of the FAR, overseeing the annual physical verification of the FA at Circles, review of the Capital WIP - all in all operating the FA function in a capital intensive industry.

- This role demands strong project management and leadership skills required to inspire and mentor a team of 8-9 people and very importantly man the team with the right resources and skill sets to ensure continuous growth of the Fixed Asset division.

- Career progression involves transitioning into a role that provides an opportunity to handle end to end finance.

The Successful Candidate:

- What's important for this role is a sense of self drive and project management skills complemented by a thorough understanding of fixed assets accounting.

- The position requires people who have transformed entities from scratch to a fruitful conclusion via successful partnership with the senior leadership and other stakeholders.

- The candidate needs to be an ambitious self-starter that requires little supervision, dealing with ambiguity, and will proactively work out how to deliver on any project.

- Apart from the above, as a minimum you should be a Chartered Accountant with at least 8 - 10 years experience leading teams in a capital intensive industry possessing a good working knowledge of any ERP system.
