Looking for a Head of Financial shared services responsible for leading and managing the implementation, management and control of transactional financial processes (R2R, O2C, P2P) . The role is responsible for quality and timely finance, accounting, and reconciliation services to its customers and develop a culture that embraces change / continuous improvement.
The person will be responsible for setting up the financial shared services in India.
Key responsibilities :
- Adhering to Group mandated accounting standards, policy, and procedures
- Creating, documenting and maintaining and following standardized processes
- Ensure all processes operate in accordance with the internal control framework
- Maintain close relationships with internal and external customer/stakeholder groups that ensure a responsiveness to their needs and escalation to resolution of performance problems
- Lead, identify, participate in and support process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency, standardization and cost savings across the team. This includes assigning team members to ensure quality and timely delivery
- Define the internal control environment and key controls, and ensure compliance with in team
- Proactively come up recommendations to improve systems and procedures, and initiate corrective actions
- Exceptional influence leadership skills, in an indirect, matrix-based, multi-cultural, multi-language and virtual environment, operates as a global leader with understanding and appreciation for regional differences
- Structure, analyze and report financial insights both historic and forward looking. Ensure timely distribution of reporting and commentary for enterprise purposes
- Align and maintain a forward looking view of the shared service group and its components and make transparent size and focus of the investments contemplated in terms of resources and budgets
- Provide timely input and recommendations to the Shared Service Leadership on risks and opportunities in delivering Service Level Agreements as well as enterprise key business performance metrics.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Finance to reflect Shared Service Leadership needs in various enterprise processes and policies (budget, strategic plan, new initiative planning etc.)
- Experience of working in fast paced / Global finance department
- Qualified Chartered with a degree in accounting or business preferred
- 17+ years of professional experience with proven ability to direct and supervise a large team
Proven knowledge of IFRS and GAAP accounting principles, Metrics, practices, standards, laws and regulations
