Finance Controller

Job Overview:

The Finance Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, managing financial reporting, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities :

Financial Reporting:

- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Develop and manage the annual budgeting process in collaboration with various departments.

- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Internal Controls:

- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

- Conduct regular audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and make necessary adjustments.

Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting requirements.

- Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations and update policies and procedures accordingly.

Cash Management:

- Manage and optimize the organization's cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs.

- Develop and implement cash management strategies to maximize returns on surplus funds.

Financial Analysis:

- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and provide recommendations for cost reduction or revenue enhancement.

- Identify key financial performance indicators (KPIs) and track them to assess the company's financial health.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and support.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the finance department.

Collaboration:

- Work closely with other departments, especially with senior management, to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.

- Collaborate with external auditors, tax professionals, and regulatory authorities as needed.
