PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
1. Ownership of financial plans forecasts and budgets to support the Management in achieving financial objectives for the year and long term.
2. Business Partnering for financial evaluation of options/ if then situations such as brand/ sku / promotion launch and follow up tracking.
3. Compilation of monthly / financial performance evaluation report for submission to Asia.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
FORECASTING:
1. Long Term Planning
- 3 Year/ 5 Year financial planning to help achieve company goals of doubling sales every 3 years in the long term
2. Budget
- Preparation of interim budget (0+12) in comparison with the current performance.
- Evaluating various iterations/ options and influencing management decision.
3. Forecast during the year
- Preparing rolling forecast every month (5+7, 8+4, and 10+2 in particular) and evaluating the performance and reporting variances.
- Proactively highlighting areas requiring course correction to achieve forecast and budgets
4. Innovation Support
- Financials for new category, new products or new skus
- Tracking the post launch performance
- Information provider to Brand Management Group.
- Participation to represent finance function on cross functional teams
5. Brand Building Spend Efficiency Analysis
- Measurement of Promotions effectiveness
- Return on Brand Building spends
6. Variance analysis
- At Brand, Channel, Market, Sku level
- Identification of cost and revenue drivers
- P&L sensitivity analysis for sales volume, brand and channel.
- Overheads analysis and continuous communication with functional heads to achieve overheads control
7. Near Term Forecast
- Reporting business performance based on Latest Estimate (mid month) after collating real time data as requested by Asia.
8. 5 Year Cash Flow Forecast
- Evaluating various sales and profit forecasts and Capex requirements to estimate the cash required for 5 year term.
9. IRR calculation
- Evaluating IRR of new projects based on the inputs from Supply Chain for next 3/ 5 years projection of sales.
10. Presentations
- Effective presentation skills in making & delivering the presentation on innovations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- MIS reports needs to be sent every month as soon as the monthly numbers are reported which requires all the backup files to be accurately prepared.
- Interacting with Asia Finance on their random requirements and sending them reports within the deadlines which are again randomly set.
- There is high pressure to meet deadline sometimes with inadequate processing time available.
- Continuous follow up with other functions every quarter to ensure that plans & forecasts reflect most up to date information.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Chartered Accountant with at least 10 years relevant experience in US GAAP in Oracle / SAP environment of a consumer product marketing led company. Knowledge of Hyperion planning will be an advantage.
FMCG-MNC experience is a must
- Track record of success
