Position: Head Finance

Minimum qualifications:
- Education: Post-Graduate in Management Studies with specialization in Finance / Chartered Accountant with professional qualifications in accounting, commerce, business administration or similar professions
Job Details:
- Establish the organization’s yearly budget development and rationalization in discussions with the Central Leadership Team
- Assess organizational financial performance against both the annual budget and the organization’s long-term strategy. Develop tools and systems to provide critical information to the Central Leadership Team and make recommendations on both strategy and operations
- Assist central leadership team in establishing yearly objectives and meeting milestones as per committee meetings, and selecting and engaging external consultants. Oversees implementation of audit recommendations (e.g. auditors, investment advisors, etc.)
- Provide support to interpreting legislative and operational rules and regulations to ensure compliance with all central, state, local and contractual requirements, ensuring that all government regulations and requirements are disseminated to appropriate personnel and monitoring overall financial and reporting compliance
- Ensure financial reports are constructed monthly and presented to relevant stakeholders within the business
- Provide a corporate operating budget. Work closely with all of the central leadership team to ensure operational success through cost analysis support, compliance with operational and contractual requirements
- Develop and Implements direct and indirect tax strategies to ensure optimal tax outcomes for the organization
- Assess investment opportunities that would provide maximum benefits to the company and recommend the same to the central leadership team.
- Manage cash flow and forecasting. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs. Optimize the handling of banking relationships to initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions
- Manage the development and dissemination of financial statements (e.g. Income Statement, Balance Sheet, etc.). Ensure accuracy and delivery within agreed timeframes
Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of Payment Industry and Payment related laws and regulations.
Functional Knowledge:
- Relevant leadership experience in leading the finance function as the Head of the function
- Delivery of effective corporate finance strategies and providing financial advice at executive levels
Leadership Capabilities:
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills necessary for interaction with the Government bodies and negotiating parties
- Ability to interpret strategy into operational models and prepare the plan of action
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and orientation to detail
Position Summary:
- Responsible for the development and implementation of the organization’s financial strategy as well as overseeing the financial activities, fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities
