Job Description :

We are looking for a finance leader with a strategic mindset to join as the Head of Finance for India. In this role, you will provide thought leadership and guidance to the Finance function building capabilities for the future and be a strong business partner to the Country Head and the global CFO.

Our client is a well known and respected MNC in the consumer technology space - currently setting up its global innovation centre having recently entered the Indian market.

Description :

Business Partnership :

- Lead and drive the setup of the India corporate Finance team following the fiscal discipline and structure required for the region

- Partner with the Leadership Team and drive the target setting and performance management of regional deliverables, for achieving performance and objectives on cross functional basis

- Provide economic views along with country outlook to determine strategy on various product

- Set financial budgets for the centre, ensuring the centre operates in a highly commercial manner; connecting financial metrics to performance and productivity metrics, demonstrating continued value add from the centre

- Area focal for Finance simplification / digitisation projects

- Leadership and stakeholder management

- Lead the Finance team across the entity- drive standardisation of data, effective partnership to drive performance management at right levels, follow through actions to take initiatives to logical closure with clear value addition

- Build solid relationships with global stakeholders and showcase capability of India Finance

- Partner with the procurement team to create and implement procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and incorporate the growing complexities and challenges within industry

- Play a key role in the formulation of the business's strategy

- Demonstrate versatility and ability to influence in different areas, with internal and external partners, in diverse ways

- Lead Legal and Compliance function

Profile :

An ideal candidate will have :

- A solid financial educational background as Chartered Accountant with minimum 15 - 20 years' related experience in leading the Finance function for India.

- Substantial leadership experience with a proven track-record of selecting and coaching finance professionals

- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate & coordinate complex issues with diverse levels of management and employees

- Proven track record of adding value to the business through business partnering

- Possess a high degree of analytical skills and can combine strategy with financial insights

- Strong commercial acumen to understand and challenge business agenda

- Self-driven with ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic growth-mode environment

- Excellent English proficiency
