An opportunity for Accounting professionals / qualified Chartered Accountant for Head of Shared Services Centre with a fortune 500 company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Incumbent would be responsible for handling the entire shared services functions and to streamline the processes of accounting, taxation, audit, reporting, budgeting.
- To coordinate for internal & external audits, ensure all audit issues are addressed appropriately. Ensure compliance with local laws, business ethics, and company internal control policies.
- Would be responsible for general ledger, tax and statutory reporting.
- To ensure all management reporting, tax & regulatory filing is timely and accurately completed.
- To coordinate with group companies, other shared services teams and other departments ensuring the integrity of financial data & timeliness of reporting process.
- Would be responsible for monthly reconciliation, to review them on time, desk procedures prepared by associates to ensure updates and perform SOX related tests to ensure compliance.
- Would be responsible to manage and develop the team, mentoring them & giving them training on regular basis.
- To maintain smooth communication between businesses and shared services team.
- Would be responsible to develop annual shared services department budget and perform monthly budget to actual variance review.
- To actively seek opportunities for savings to the company. Work with corporate tax department and other departments on global/local projects.
- Require a qualified Chartered Accountant with minimum 9-10 years of experience in handling Accounting, Taxation, Audit, compliance functions etc. and should have also handled Accounting Shared services for at least 2 years.
- Should have good knowledge on Accounting principles & standards, US GAAP, IGAAP & Internal Audit (SOX Compliance) etc.
- Good knowledge of ERP/accounting systems (Preferably SAP)
