Role Description:
- As the Finance Head, the candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health and strategy of the Company. The candidate will be responsible for managing the finance department, implementing financial policies, and ensuring compliance with regulations while contributing to the company's overall growth and profitability.
- As the Head of Process Excellence, the candidate will be responsible for driving standardization of processes across the organization, by strategically leveraging technology and optimizing processes to ensure operational efficiency, and create system based controls to build the platform for scale. In this process he will play a pivotal role in Coordinating between the Technology and Operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy: Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities to provide insights for informed decision-making. Monitor financial performance against targets and propose corrective measures when needed.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and KPIs to senior management and stakeholders, providing a clear overview of the company's financial status.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, including but not limited to long term business decisions, regulatory changes, and operational risks. Implement risk management policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to optimize financial resources and support business operations effectively.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance and direction to ensure the team's professional development and success.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and legal requirements. Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders as necessary.
- Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support strategic initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships that impact financial outcomes.
- Technology Integration: Oversee the integration of technology solutions to build effectiveness and efficiency, drive automation and system based controls, creating a robust platform for scale by collaborating with IT and Business teams.
- Process Optimization: Lead the process optimization initiatives across the Organisation by identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements to streamline workflows and maximize productivity.
Job Skills and Qualifications:
- CA / ICWA / MBA in Finance
- Proven experience (15+ years) in a senior finance role in Retail / FMCG / Services industry.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial software/systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to analyze complex financial data and make informed decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change, innovate, and lead teams effectively.
- Plan fundraising initiatives to help the organization meet financial goals. Liaison with Banks and other funding sources.
- Manage and retain relationships with various vendors.
- Adhere to the law and company's policies.
- Ensure effective internal controls are in place and compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory legislation for financial and tax reporting
