Organization:

- It works toward ending poverty and social injustice of the marginalized communities leading to improvement in their lives and livelihoods. The organization works on programs in health, livelihood, water sanitation and education.

Position Description:

- As a key member of the Senior Management, the position will provide leadership to the Finance function and also assume a strategic role in the overall management of the organization.

- The position will be responsible for developing the organization's financial strategy, stewardship of financial assets cum resources and ensuring that the financial and operational assets are properly deployed.

- This position will have responsibility for planning, budgeting, implementing, managing/ controlling all financial-related activities of the organization.

- This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, budget management, costs, and statutory compliances.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide strategic direction and be responsible for all aspects of the Finance and Accounting function

- Lead the annual financial budgets and prepare the operating budget.

- Drive / develop the Standard operating processes, ensure adherence of the same and adopt best practices

- Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgeting and consolidation and reporting of the financials. Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including: organizational revenue/expense, balance sheet reports, grant reporting, program wise spends etc.

- Monitor organizational contract/grant budgets

- Oversee all negotiations and purchasing for the programs and payroll activity for the employees

- Ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization's needs

- Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization and prevent leakages. Conduct internal audits

- Ensure compliance to rules / governance of financial reporting

- Ensure adherence to all statutory compliances as per guidelines of the statutory authorities and legal framework. Ensure filling of all returns to the statutory authorities per guidelines

- Work with auditors on completion of audit within timelines, review/ closure of the audit points and ensure unqualified reports

- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with all key external stakeholders

- Ensure high level of motivation in the Finance Team

Required qualification, experience and skills:

- CA /ICWA/ MBA Finance

-10 - 20 years' experience in accounts and finance with strong experience in a not for profit organization

- Familiarity with the working environment and professional standards of large high grade nonprofit organizations

- Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate with international office and all levels of the organization

- Strategic leadership, drive for results and management skills

- High level of integrity
